SID Display Week 2015: i-sft present themselves at their own booth
Gundersheim, May 27, 2015. German company i-sft, specializing in displays and technologies, will be exhibiting at the SID Display Week 2015 in San Jose, California. The event takes place at the San Jose Convention Center from May 31 to June 4. At their booth number 1316 with its motto ‘Coaching – solving – products,’ i-sft will be sharing information about their services regarding all aspects of display technology, including drastic reductions in power consumption and/or heat generation. The main focus is on the analysis of defective systems. In this respect, the company is one of the few service providers that offer a manufacturer-independent analysis of display problems in which all components are scrutinized objectively. Since i-sft is not a manufacturer of serial-production displays, the company is not in a conflict of interests with display manufacturers or their distributors when analyzing display failures.
‘Coaching’ with regard to all aspects of display technology and ‘solving’ problems related to it are the core competencies of i-sft. ‘Products’ refers to the development of customer-specific display solutions for demanding industrial use cases. When i-sft gets commissioned to develop something new, this is often a consequence of their analysis of previous solutions that proved unsatisfactory. More information about the three pillars of the business model can be found in videos related to the keywords ‘coaching’ (http://youtu.be/AnJfIrwac00), ‘solving’ (http://youtu.be/bDn5Z5jp1ug), and ‘products’ (http://youtu.be/TfYKMYx-L-A).
“Our contacts with the industry, even with global technology conglomerates, keep confirming the following thing: when displays fail, hardly anyone knows who to ask for help other than the manufacturer. But for manufacturers of serial-production displays, failure analysis and repair do not create much value, which is why in many cases their response does not satisfy the user. In this context, i-sft bridges a real gap in the market because the know-how in display technology we have acquired over more than 20 years is exclusively devoted to the unbiased analysis of failures. What is more, as an independent medium-sized company we are also under no obligation to any supplier when it comes to purchasing components for our own solutions. This means that we always choose the products that are best suited for the task at hand,” says Klaus Wammes, CEO of i-sft GmbH.
i-sft GmbH is a leading “global player” for tailor-made display solutions in the capital goods sector and offers highly specialized technology services in this area, such as trouble-shooting, failure analysis, consulting, and display-specific measurements. Started in 1993 as a research department within the Siemens group, i-sft was established as an independent company within the Wammes Group in 2003. In 2014, i-sft became a founding member of Deutsches Flachdisplay-Forum (DFF) e.V., the German Flat Panel Display Forum (www.displayforum.de). Based in Gundersheim/Germany, i-sft develops and manufactures customer-specific display solutions that are used in the most demanding applications of international customers.
